About
I’ve been a writer since third grade, when I scribbled down my first poem, about spring or butterflies or rainbows. One of those subjects adored by little girls.
I’ve been a runner since I was thirty-two.
It took awhile for me to understand the connection between writing and running, how one feeds the other. Once I got it, my writing bloomed.
Before I was a runner or I could comfortably call myself a writer, I was many other things. Salesperson, editor, English professor, technical writer, and manager. One day, all the things I was and am came together.
I am still a writer. And a runner.
And I am also the council director for Girls on the Run of Bexar County. I get to share the joy, health, and confidence-building of running with many people as my job.
And I get to write about it.
Can life get any better?
